okok, firstly, i know i promised the ms eileen show, but im really up to my neck in econs studying, comms project, esl essay, tuition, and church. so let me just share this video i stumbled upon some time ago. its on my personal blog, but thought id share it with you guys. its basically a silent act together with the song 'everything' by lifehouse. one of their best songs i must say, one of the best bands as well. their songs are full of meaning and thought-invoking lyrics. i love it, it says so much about life, love, and faith. more after the vid, enjoy.
i'd just like to comment on the way they could dramatize sin and love so well. sin destroying and not letting go even though you're fighting for ground.. love from JC with just a simple turn and dance. its just almost indescribable and touching. without words at all. ok fine, the song lyrics.. but yknow. the facial expression.. the body movements. sin being obstacles blocking our way.
i watched this a million times alr, and it touches me every single time.
what do you guys think of it?

Nonverbal communication. What a wonderful thing it is. You can convey messages just using it alone. Whereas verbal communication do not really convey emotions and feelings.
I agree with you regarding the song. Very meaningful. But the acts by the 2 of them really brought the song out.
hey shireen, yeah man. its true about verbal comms not really conveying emotions and feelings. i mean. words are just words for some people. in this society, words dont carry weight anymore. words like love and hate are used so simply that non verbal communication is really needed in this day and age.
moving away from this topic, i just realized that the fact that i found that video on Godtube.com shows how much mass media communications have evolved. youtube to godtube. to many others now! from a small site to host boring self made clips to sites that promote vocation and faith. hmmmm. thoughts to think about. what other sites are there that reaches out with a goal? eg. God tube reaches out to spread christianity.
I am sure you don't even know who I am and so here comes along another one of those prototypes.So how can you presume I have loads of prototypes? Unless of course you have bundled me with the rest of human kind.
So what's the comment on godtube all about? Other than saying that it is up there with youtube. What's your take on it based on all those lectures you have been attending?
pity about not having the ms eileen show. haha. but this is just as good. i won't say that i know exactly what they are trying to potray, but i have a rough idea as to what is going on. isn't it just so amazing how you can tell a story just by using gestures, actions and expressions? :)
